Both the official classroom and online training are taught over 3 years or levels: BASIC (1st year), INTERMEDIATE (2nd year) and ADVANCED (3rd year). These levels consist of several training modules:
- In face-to-face training, each level is divided into two modules, both lasting 6 days.
- In online training, on the other hand, the Basic and Intermediate levels are structured into three modules, each lasting four days. The Advanced level, which is offered in person, is organized into two modules, each lasting six days.
The total number of teaching hours and days of classes is the same in both modalities, face-to-face and online: 216 teaching hours distributed in 36 days of classes.
In order to obtain the certificate, in addition to completing the total number of teaching hours, participants must fulfil a number of requirements for individual sessions and case consultations, also called supervisions:
PERSONAL SESSIONS | MINIMUM: 20 HOURS
The purpose of individual sessions is to delve deeper into each student's personal process from a didactic perspective.
Requirements:
- Of the minimum of 20 hours of individual sessions, a minimum of 15 must be with a Senior Assistant or Provider of the training in which the participant is enrolled.
- The rest of the sessions (5 hours) can be done with an accredited Senior/Provider from another promotion or another school.
CASE CONSULTATIONS (INDIVIDUAL/IN GROUP) | MINIMUM: 20 CREDITS
The aim of case consultations (AKA, supervisions) is for students to review and ask questions about their own patients. Supervisions are also meant to solve questions related to the content, tools, etc., that students see in class.
Case consultations can be individual or in group:
- Group supervisions are conducted with one Instructor, one Level 2 Senior Assistant, or two Level 1 Senior Assistants (minimum and maximum of 12 students). Group supervisions (3 hours) are equivalent to 1 credit, due to less individualised teaching attention.
- Individual supervisions can be credited with a Senior Assistant (levels 1 and 2) and/or a Trainer. 1 hour of case consultation is equivalent to 1 credit.
Requirements:
- Of the minimum of 20 credits of case consultation, 6 must be completed with an Instructor from the SE® Teaching Team.
- 12 credits out of 20 must be individual.
Additional Information on Training
- Tuition fees do not include the cost of sessions, supervision or room and board for face-to-face training.
- Trainings in Madrid (Casa Cristo de El Pardo) are given in Spanish only. International bilingual trainings (English/Spanish), held at the Hotel Fuerte El Rompido, Huelva, are given in the Instructor's preferred language and are translated consecutively into the other language. The online training is given in Spanish only.
- Students will have access to a virtual campus where they will have access to various teaching materials: class recordings, manuals, research papers, etc.
- In the event that, at the end of the training, the trainee has not completed the required number of sessions and/or case consultations, he/she will have 2 extra years to complete them.
- If for reasons of force majeure (e.g. Covid-19) or for organisational reasons it is not feasible or advisable to hold the training in person, the organisers reserve the right to adopt an online format. The organisation also reserves the right to postpone the training sessions or make any modifications it deems appropriate.
