The Official Training with Somatic Experiencing Spain In person is endorsed by Somatic Experiencing® International (SEI) and the European Association for Somatic Experiencing® (EASE).
Why Somatic Experiencing®?
Somatic Experiencing® (SE) supports the regulation of the autonomic nervous system, which is at the basis of every aspect of our physical, emotional and psychological functioning. As such, the applications of SE® are varied. For example, by working directly with the client’s physiology, SE® enhances the depth, effectiveness, and effect of psychotherapeutic interventions that focus on relational, developmental, and psychodynamic issues. SE® also supports mood regulation, the reform of addictive patterns, and the prevention or resolution of PTSD. Likewise, since trauma can contribute to the formation of many complex syndromes and diseases, SE® helps professionals to unravel difficult situations (e.g. developmental trauma, (pre-)perinatal trauma, trauma resulting from abuse or neglect, among others). SE® techniques are also effective in reducing or eliminating chronic pain and trauma-related symptoms that occur in the musculoskeletal system, making them useful for body workers and other physical care providers
Upon completion of the training requirements, students will be officially certified as Somatic Experiencing Practitioners® (SEP). Certification as an SEP is not a license to practice psychotherapy or bodywork. This license is issued by the appropriate governmental bodies in each country.
Who is the Training For
The official training is meant for the following professionals: psychologists, psychotherapists, therapists, psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, osteopaths, educators and, in general, for any health professional interested in training in this ground-breaking approach to trauma.
